E&R Engineering Corp. practices the spirit of ESG sustainability, with the chairman joining hands with employees in actively reducing carbon emissions through walking.
E&R Engineering Corp. Chairman, Mr. Michel Wang, along with colleagues, responded enthusiastically to this event.
To encourage employees to adopt sustainable, low-carbon lifestyles, improve health, and enhance work efficiency, E&R Engineering Corp. held its first four-month walking competition this year, garnering enthusiastic responses from over 80% of colleagues. As of now, a total of 48,820,568 steps have been reported, equivalent to circling Taiwan approximately 32 times, and resulting in a reduction of 6.932 tons of carbon emissions, akin to about 13 round-trip flights between Taipei and Kaohsiung. With the event ongoing, colleagues continue to challenge themselves, expecting to make further contributions to carbon reduction.
E&R Engineering Corp. Chairman, Mr. Michel Wang expressed, "I am pleased to see the enthusiastic participation and active sign-ups from our colleagues!" To motivate employees to join, the E&R Occupational Safety Center has devised a rewards system: employees can receive rewards by achieving 7,000 steps per day at least three times a week, and those who accumulate 7,000 steps or more for over 70 days during the event period also qualify for rewards. For employees seeking personal challenges, the top three with the highest accumulated steps, reaching a total of 1.23 million steps, will receive more substantial rewards. Due to the sedentary nature and high stress levels faced by office workers, walking is the simplest and most sustainable way to maintain health. E&R Engineering Corp. organized its first walking competition, aiming to encourage healthy walking habits while promoting ESG sustainability principles.
Through this walking initiative, E&R Engineering Corp. has seen employees enthusiastically supporting environmental protection and health initiatives. The company pledges to continue promoting more activities to contribute to achieving net-zero carbon emissions and advancing ESG corporate sustainability goals.
